Gratitude expert, Dr. Robert Emmons, says, ” Gratitude enriches human life. It elevates, energizes, inspires and transforms.” Select a trusted friend or family member to share the things you most appreciate. This person will be your Gratitude Partner. At the end of each day, list 10 things that you are grateful for and email them to your Gratitude Partner. Have your partner share their list with you, too. If you are facing something challenging in your life, write three things that you are grateful for about that situation as well. Continue this practice for 90 days.
“Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow. Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.” Melody Beattie
